What ever happened?

What ever happened with people being concerned about their integrity? As a child most of us are told not to lie or to say yes Mam or yes Sir, we're taught to have manners and to respect our elders. It seems that today we are in a SELF oriented mode stuck in HIGH GEAR.

I think of Matt 25: 35 - 40 and the question is ask, WHEN did I see you and you were hungry, naked, thirsty, etc. I ask the same questions today. We have people in our communities and even in our Churches that are not in the click, not easy to look at or be around and we often ignore or want to LEAVE them for some else. If CHRIST is no respecter of persons then what gives us the right to be?

How can we take care of others when we can't even get the basic principles down? If I can't be trusted to keep my word, to respect others or act Godly then how in the world can I be expected to go out of my way and against my principals, worldly popularity and will to go where I know I should?

A man once told me that God gives daily the opportunity to exercise what we know and preach.

Ever wonder??

Do you ever wonder or give serious thought to why God let's things happen to us that aren't pleasing to us.

I guess the key word here is pleasing, there are things that happen to us and we certainly don't like them. We even go as far a to say "That's not of or from God". If I'm reading Rom. 8:28 correctly it says that ALL things work TOGETHER to them that LOVE the Lord.

Throughout the years I have noticed in my life that the things that happen or have happened will eventually work for me not against me. I can reference them or I can relate to them to help me out of situations in my life at this or a future time. The trials I go through today are building blocks tomorrow.

So is it pleasing, is it easy, is it enjoyable, most likely not. But (a conditional word) enduring, trusting, having faith through Christ I will overcome. So even if we ask "What If"? I find that God is the master of allowing us to get to the "What If" points in our lives.

The way I relate to this is from a quote of a friend of mine, "Life is always choices". When It comes to "What If" we need to stop and take a minuet and decide what path we will take. The FASTER we do this the faster we can overcome. If we don't we allow the enemy or ourselves time to take root into the matter.

An interesting thing to remember,,, There were two trees in the garden. Again choices "What If"
